JAMKO’s Tekla Hahl elected to Finnish Student Sports Federation

Student union JAMKO’s social policy responsible Tekla Hahl was elected as vice chairperson to the board of the Finnish Student Sports Federation (OLL) for 2022. Hahl was elected in the Finnish Student Sports Federation OLL’s general assembly on 10.-11.11.2021. The general assembly gathered participants from all over Finland from different student unions.

Tekla Hahl is a third-year student of social services at Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, who has]gained experience especially this year in advocating for students’ interests and supporting well-being as JAMKO’s social policy trustee. Cooperation with the Finnish Student Sports Federation has been part of the social policy trusteeship description, so Hahl has been able to work closely with the association during her tenure.

Tekla Hahl, who studies at JAMK, will contribute to the well-being of students at OLL in the year 2022.

“I look forward to next year’s events, as the student well-being advocacy has become very important to me during my year in JAMKO. I believe that this experience will also support my professional growth”, says Tekla Hahl.

“JAMKO’s Board is proud of Tekla and it is fair that JAMKO’s decision to resign from the Finnish Student Sports Federation does not affect the member’s ability to work in sports advocacy at national level.” sums up Stella Palassalo, Chairperson of the Board of JAMKO.
