A thesis is always a show of dedication which is worth giving a shape that will stand the test of time. In book form, the work and the memory will be preserved in style on your bookshelf. The book-binding service of JAMKO will make your thesis into a book affordably, quickly and stylishly. The theses will be bound in black hardcover editions, with gilded cover and back inscription.

The most convenient way to get a binding is to order with the electronic form below. The thesis will be attached onto the form.

To be noted before ordering

• The thesis has to be in .pdf format
• The size of text pages is A4. Check this!
• All pages are in a single document, and ordered correctly in the pdf
• If you mean to bind your thesis into different versions, both need to be ordered separately. If this is the case, please mention it under further information in the form.
• Check that your thesis is fit to be printed before submitting it.

The material to be bound can also be delivered to the JAMKO office in paper form. To avoid extra costs, the cover page of the thesis needs to be delivered online as well in pdf form. It has to be sent by email to address opinnayte@jamko.fi. In this case the delivery time will be a couple of days longer.

When the binding is ready

The binding will take three to five business days. When the book is ready, you will receive a message by e-mail. The ready thesis will be picked up at the JAMKO office. Postage of the thesis is possible to one post address, to the person who ordered the book. JAMKO is not liable for theses lost in the mail, or theses that have been packaged accordingly, but have been broken during postage.

The cost and payment of the binding

• The first book of an order 25,00 € (binding, hard covers, gilded text)
• The second and subsequent books á 19,00 € (for people ordering multiple copies)

To this will be added the prices of pages:

• An A4 in black-and-white 0,06 €/page
• An A4 in color 0,50 €/page
• An A3 in black-and-white 0,11 €/page
• An A3 in color 1,05 €/page

The prices are tied to the printing standard of hardcover theses, defined by JAMK. If the thesis is bound according to other standards, the prices may vary.

The book is paid for at the JAMKO office during pick-up, either in cash or by card (Debit, Credit, Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard).

Invoice and postage of an order

The order can also be posted and charged by an invoice, if the person ordering does not have a chance to pick the thesis up. The invoice can only be sent to the person who ordered the binding. An invoice charge of 7,00 € will be added to the invoice, as well as postage fees. The postage fees are 8,50 € for domestic orders, . If the thesis is to be delivered to the library or to the directive teacher, this costs 3 €.
