How to find a candidate to vote for in the elections?

It is soon time to decide who is worth your vote! Do you want to vote for a student in the same field, or a candidate from a particular electoral alliance, or are you more interested in the candidate’s opinion on distance learning, for example?

The best way to find out more about the candidates is to visit the JAMKO voting aid app at opiskelijakuntasi.fi. By selecting JAMKO from the menu, you can compare the candidates running in the JAMKO elections. The voting aid app helps voters find the candidate who is closest to their values. The questions in the app allows you to compare your thoughts on student life, JAMKO and JAMK with the candidates’ answers. You will find the candidates who have filled in the questionnaire.

You can also meet the candidates at the Election village event in the Dynamo lobby and at the main campus in D-Lounge. You can talk to the representatives of the electoral alliances about their views and how they would promote student issues at JAMKO. The Election villages will take place at Dynamo on 31 October from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and on Main Campus 6 November from 12.00 to 14.00.

You can also meet the candidates at election panels, where they will discuss and open up their ideas to students on topical issues, why you should vote for them and what they would like to achieve in the Representatives Council.  You can come to the panel or follow the live broadcast on JAMKO’s Instagram. The Dynamo election panel will take place on 31 October from 14.00 to 16.00 in room 311 and on 6 November from 14.00 onwards in Rajakatu D – Lounge.

In addition, the lists of candidates are available on the JAMKO’s election website and on JAMKO’s social media.

Voting is open from 31 October to 8 November until 15.00.
