Membership survey: 98% recommends JAMKO’s membership
Student Union of Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences – JAMKO arranged a membership survey at 17.11.-1.12.2015. Meaning of the survey was to get full-view of members´ opinions concerning student union JAMKO. The answers will be the base for the renewing strategy of JAMKO during the year 2016. The survey was answered by 585 members in which 531 answers were in Finnish and 54 in English.
Most of the respondents were pleased with the services they get from JAMKO. Based on the answers JAMKO should improve in communication concerning trusteeship work and events. Members want to know more about membership benefits as well as reporting of Grumble weeks.
The most important services JAMKO can offer is student card and membership sticker, events and JAMKO Café. Also JAMKO’s gym was mentioned in the top of services in English answers. Most of the respondents experienced that student unions membership is well-priced. Improvements related to JAMKO Café will be dealt by the JAMKO’s own company called Jyväskylä’s student’s services – JOPO.
Students feel that JAMKO represents students in JAMK and most of the respondents felt that they can contact student union when they find issues concerning their studies. JAMKO should focus in future to the trusteeship, versatile events and collecting more membership benefits. Student union JAMKO should also concentrate on communication related on those things. Almost all respondents (98,2%) would recommend the membership of JAMKO to their friends and the most of the 585 members who answered the survey will continue their own membership until the end of their studies.
During the survey JAMKO arranged a raffle for the respondents. The prize was 100 euros gift card to S Group. The winner has been contacted personally. Student Union JAMKO wants to thank you all the members for the feedback!
