Tutoring will allow you to meet new friends, improve your communication skills, help new students and supervise and organize events for fellow students. Tutoring is definitely worth a try if you are interested in building your teamwork and leadership skills. On top of the deal, you will get credits and a tutor certificate for the work done. You will have an unforgettable experience, and as an exchange student tutor you can gain international experience and create networks around the world!

Tutor recruitment is open 15.9.-28.9. In this recruitment we are looking for exchange tutors for exchange students arriving in Finland in spring 2026, degree tutors for English degree programs starting in autumn 2026 and peer tutors for students of Finnish degree programs starting in January 2026.

We are looking for degree tutors for the following English programs starting in August 2026: 

Automation and Robotics

  • Business Information Technology
  • Information and Communication Technology
  • International Business
  • Nursing
  • Purchasing and Logistics Engineering
  • Tourism Management

We are looking for peer tutors for the following Finnish programs starting in January 2026: 


School of Health and Social studies:

  • Fysioterapeutti, monimuoto
  • Kätilö, päivätoteutus
  • Sairaanhoitaja, päivätoteutus
  • Sairaanhoitaja, monimuoto
  • Toimintaterapeutti, päivätoteutus

School of Technology:

  • Logistiikka, monimuoto
  • Rakennusmestari, monimuoto
  • Sähkö- ja automaatiotekniikka, monimuoto
  • Tieto- ja viestintätekniikka, monimuoto

School of Business:

  • Palveluliiketoiminta, monimuoto/verkkototeutus

All those who fill out the tutor application form are invited to a group interview (max 6 people) and the tutors are selected based on the interviews. Interviews are in week 43-44. Working as a tutor requires going through all of JAMKO’s tutor training, because during the training tutors get all the necessary knowledge and skills to work as a tutor. During the tutor year, you can get 3-5 credits for yourself. Anyone can apply to be a tutor!
