Embrace an interesting hobby with other like-minded people!
Clubs are independent communities under JAMKO that aim to offer diverse and meaningful leisure activities to balance studies. All JAMKO students and staff members are welcome to participate in club activities. JAMKO supports the clubs financially, provides advice, communication assistance and gives training.
All clubs follow JAMKO’s principles for a safer space.
The clubs have their own communication channels and information about their activities is also shared on JAMKO’s website, social media and in the member letter.

Setting up a club
Haven’t found a club that suits you yet? Or do you have an interest that you would like to share with others? You can start your own club and get support from JAMKO!
Any student or staff member at Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences can start a club. JAMKO can give financial support to clubs that are open to everyone at JAMKO. The support is intended for club activities and their implementation. In addition to financial support JAMKO offers clubs training, advice and assists them for example with communication and booking facilities.
To establish a club, you will need:
- At least two Jamk students and/or staff members, one of whom will be as the club’s contact person
- A plan that briefly describes
- the club’s activities
- the budget (how much funding would be needed and what it would be used for)
You can send your plan to JAMKO project coordinator Eeva (eeva.vissel@jamko.fi). After that you will be contacted and a meeting will be arranged to discuss setting up the club.
All clubs must follow JAMKO’s principles for a safer space.
