Eveliina Koskela chosen as new project coordinator for JAMKO and SAMO

The Student Union of JAMK University of Applied Sciences JAMKO and Student Union of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences SAMO have chosen Eveliina Koskela to be their joint project coordinator.

Eveliina will work in a joint project of JAMK University of Applied Sciences and Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences as well as JAMKO and SAMO to improve students´ wellbeing. The project is funded by Ministry of Education and Culture. The goal is to improve JAMKO´s and SAMO´s tutoring by creating new working concepts, networking solutions and schooling material plus strengthen tutors´ competence, coping and motivation as well as enhance the efficiency of peer tutoring. Another aim is to harmonize tutoring activities between the two student unions.

Eveliina Koskela is 25-year old Master of Social Sciences (Utrecht University) and Bachelor of Political Sciences (University of Helsinki). Eveliina has a broad experience through her studies, previous work and hobbies about themes like community spirit of young people and students, their exhaustion and marginalization. Eveliina has also been creating and developing solutions to these issues. In addition to this she has international experience and excellent language skills. Eveliina won over our recruiting group with her analytic and clear grasp of OHKE-project as whole.

Eveliina will start her work on 15th April 2021. The job is limited to one year. Due to project technical reasons JAMKO will be her employer but according to her wish, her primary workstation is going to be at SAMO office. In any case she will work for both student unions and the whole project team.
