Arrangements in JAMK during corona situation
So far only JAMK’s main campus is open from 8am to 4pm. The main campus can only be accessed from the D1 door. Contact teaching is not provided, but individual or small group work (max. 6 people) is allowed on the school premises. For the time being, laboratories and testing and analysis services will continue to work in small groups.
Avoid campus if you have any, even slight symptoms of a flu. Working at the campuses will be monitored by the janitors and staff.
JAMK’s Main Campus Library continues as a self-service library.
All Exam – studios are closed and online exams are cancelled until April 13. For more information on exam arrangements, contact the teacher in charge. The maturity test is performed in an Optima environment.

Studies can progress normally
JAMK strives to ensure that studies can be progressed on schedule. Teachers have been instructed to organize the courses online. More info from the responsible teacher.
Practical training may continue according to the practice of the training place, but it is worth discussing with the responsible teacher. It may be possible to partially complete the training with substitute tasks. The Central Finland Health Care District discontinues social and healthcare practical training for students with less than 180 credits. More info. Completing the interrupted training will be discussed with the responsible teacher.
Students studying abroad are advised to return home and planned exchanges to be cancelled. Returning students remain in home quarantine for 14 days. Changes in the international periods can be treated so that the situation has occurred due to reasons beyond the students’ control, so he / she is likely to keep the Erasmus + / JAMK grant. All teachers, study counselors, thesis supervisors, study psychologists, admission services, student services and internationalization services provide remote guidance and counseling.
Study psychologists have moved appointments to Zoom and new times can be booked normally. Reservations can be made by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. The Study Priest’s reception operates normally using a Whatsapp video call connection. More info in Elmo intranet.
