Student card is JAMKOs membership card and you can join as a member for the whole year or just for a semester. JAMKO’s membership offers a wide selection of national and local benefits which you can get with a valid student card. RENEW MEMBERSHIP ONLINE BEFORE COLLECTING STICKER
Tue 5.9.
Current members need to renew their membership via JAMKO’s website in order collect a valid semester sticker to their student card from member service points. After renewal the sticker can be collected from any service point. The payment can be at point as well. Last semester’s stickers expire by the end of September and the renewal must be done to maintain the student benefits: https://www.jamko.fi/en/membership/become-a-member/renewing-member/

MEMBER SERVICE POINTS ON JAMK’S CAMPUSES
Tue 5.9.
JAMKO’s member service points are open at Dynamo, Music campus and Tarvaala. JAMKO’s office is open as usual and don’t close for lunch or coffee break. New student cards, semester stickers and event tickets can be acquired from the points. Note that points on Dynamo, Music and Tarvaala campus take only card payments. GRAB THE BENEFITS OF FRANK APPLICATION
Tue 5.9.
JAMKO members can broaden the benefits of their physical membership card with Frank digital app without additional fees. By doing so, students get the nationwide and local discounts, JAMKO’s and Frank’s discounts and benefits. Frank is an addition to the JAMKO card, not a separate service, and requires the membership of JAMKO. After joining and paying the fee, it takes a few days the application to work. Note that, you have to have a Finnish personal identity code and it has to be added to the JAMK system (ASIO). Read more: https://www.jamko.fi/en/frank2/

FIRST DETENTION OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR
Wed 6.9.
JAMKOs Detention will be held at Freetime on 6th of September at Freetime with a theme “City vs. Countryside. Gather up a team of four and come see if you know all the differences of city and countryside. Doors will open at 8.30pm and the quiz will start at 9pm. Free entry. REPRESENTATIVES ELECTION INFO AND OPEN TRAINING
Mon 11.9.
Representatives election candidacy filing is on – do you want to know what representatives council is all about, how to run and make a campaign? Come to open the election info and training on Mon Sept 11th on Main campus room BP15 starting at 4 p.m. First info then the training. We serve something small to bite, coffee and tea. The autumn semester of Academic Sports started on Monday 4th of Sep. EAT FREE PORRIDGE AND PARTICIPATE IN WORLD RECORD
Thu 6.9.
Finns will try to achieve a world record in eating organic porridge on Sept 6th. For that reason JAMK and Sodexo will offer free porridge at Jyväskylä campuses. JOPA’S NEWCOMERS EVENING

Jyväskylän opiskelevat partiolaiset (student scouts) have their newcomers evening at 6 pm on monday 11.9 . Starting place is front of F-building in kortepohja student village. From there we will be moving through a little course with some little playful tasks. http://www.jopary.net/
