STUDENT CARD IS THE KEY TO STUDENT LIFE – JOIN NOW!

Student card is JAMKOs membership card and you can join as a member for the whole year or just for a semester. RENEW MEMBERSHIP BY THE END OF SEPTEMBER

Current members need to renew their membership via JAMKO’s website in order to get a valid semester sticker to their student card. Last semester’s stickers expire by the end of September and the renewal must be done to maintain the student benefits. OWN LOCKS TO JAMKO GYM
Tue 29.8.
Starting from this autumn, JAMKO gym and JAMK sports hall lockers will require an own lock. The lockers are only for short term use and available during the workout only. JAMKO will break the lock and empty the content, if any misusage occurs. FESTIVAL SUMMER CONTINUES! JAMKO’S THREE PART OPENING FESTIVAL

JAMKOs academic year starts traditionally with Opening Festival on 31st of August. The Festival will be held at Lutakko Park from 3pm to 6pm, opening cruise from 7pm to 22pm (sold out) and official after party at Bra2 begginnig at 10pm. MEMBER SERVICE POINTS ON JAMK’S CAMPUSES IN SEPTEMBER

JAMKO’s member service points are open at Dynamo, Music campus and Tarvaala. JAMKO’s office is open as usual and don’t close for lunch or coffee break. New student cards, semester stickers and event tickets can be acquired from the points. Note that points on Dynamo, Music and Tarvaala campus take only card payments. FIRST DETENTION OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR

JAMKOs Detention will be held at Freetime on 6th of September at Freetime with a theme “City vs. Countryside. Gather up a team of four and come see if you know all the differences of city and countryside. Doors will open at 8.30pm and the quiz will start at 9pm. Free entry. FRESHMEN PARTY, THE NUMBER ONE EVENT FOR NEW STUDENTS

Freshmen Party is an event for all new students, where they get to know the city of Jyväskylä and other colleagues better. The theme this year is Life is a Game, so now is your chance to be a Sims character, Tetris block or whatever you desire on the 14th of September! JAMK’s premiere choir, Cantinovum is looking for new singers to join our ranks. Auditions will be held on Tuesday 5.9 and 12.9 from 17:00 – 18:00 at JAMK’s Music Campus (Pitkäkatu 18 – 22) Room 245.
