The JAMKO Board is currently seeking a Communications responsible for the fall of 2026. The Communications responsible plays a central role in JAMKO’s operations and has a wide range of responsibilities spanning many of JAMKO’s areas of activity.
As a Communications responsible, you will support JAMKO’s actives in internal and external communications by working with marketing-related tasks across various sectors. In this role, you’ll get to utilize your skills in social media, graphic design, video production and editing, and marketing. Strong communication skills are a plus, but the most important thing is the desire and motivation to learn, make an impact, and collaborate with your team! Remember, we’re not looking for a fully-fledged professional; you’ll also have the opportunity to grow into the job This experience will teach you many things valued in the professional world, and you’ll also get to develop in areas that interest you.
The best part of the role is getting to know new people, networking, challenging yourself, and working for the common good of the community and all students. Board meetings and discussions are usually held during office hours (9 a.m.–4 p.m.), so it’s good to keep this in mind. The workload varies depending on the time of year, but averages 20 hours per week. The position can be counted toward your academic credits, and you will also receive a commission. The work kicks off with orientation sessions before summer, and we’ll get down to business in early August.

The Representative Council will make a decision on the selection at its meeting on May 12, starting at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held on the Main Campus in room BP15. Applicants will introduce themselves at the event, and all applicants will be interviewed. If you are interested in running for the position of Communications responsible, it is highly recommended that you attend this meeting.
