RENEW MEMBERSHIP BY THE END OF SEPTEMBER
Tue 4.9.
Last year’s members need to renew their membership via JAMKO’s website in order to get a valid semester sticker to their student card. Last semester’s stickers expire by the end of September and the renewal must be done to maintain the student benefits. WORK OUT FOR FREE IN JAMKO’S GYM
Tue 4.9.
JAMKO’s gym is free for all of JAMKO’s members and there you can work out even between lectures. You can find gym from D-wing’s basement on Rajakatu campus. JAMKO searches student representatives to act in Guidance group of information systems renewal and in periodic review of a logistics degree program. All degree students are able to apply, but Finnish skills are required. The Representatives makes a decisions at representatives plenary session on 11th September at Rajakatu, room F306. MEMBER SERVICE POINTS ON JAMK CAMPUSES IN SEPTEMBER

JAMKO’s member service points are open at Dynamo, Music campus and Tarvaala in September. JAMKO’s office is open as usual and don’t close for lunch or coffee break. New student cards, semester stickers and event tickets can be acquired from the points. Note that points on Dynamo, Music and Tarvaala campus take only card payments. TALK ABOUT STUDENT LIFE WITH OTHERS IN NYYTI CHAT

Nyyti organizes chats about student life and you are welcome to talk to other students and experts in anonym environment. PARTICIPATE IN CAMPUS ONLINE – PHOTO COMPETITION

CampusOnline.fi is a year-round digital courses offering portal provided jointly by Finnish universities of applied sciences. Participate in the #mycampusonline photo competition on Instagram to win a €50 gift voucher! Participate in the photo competition by photographing your feelings about online learning and posting your photo to Instagram with the hashtag #mycampusonline. JAMK LIBRARY NO LONGER ACCEPTS CASH PAYMENTS
Tue 4.9.
Cash as a payment method will be given up at the Main Library, Lutakko Library and Tarvaala Library at Sept 1st. From the beginning of September, the most common debit and credit cards will be accepted as methods of payment. As an exception, Music Campus Library will still accept cash payments. If you have a talent for singing or just love to sing in general, you should definitely go check out Unisounds International Choir. Open choir with rehearsals every Friday at 4 pm at Boombox- Musica Building at the University of Jyväskylä. Open Rehearsal on Friday 7th September at 5pm. LECTURE REFLECTS THE ART OF CRAFTMANSHIP IN VISUAL ART
Wed 12.9.
In art you can “sculpt” or “paint” with string, using traditional craftmanship techniques. Craft can be a way to express one self and it can take a stand on social disadvantages. Minna Haveri’s Outsider art and craftmanship in artistic expression lecture on Wed 12th of September at 5 pm in the Craft Museum of Finland. Free entry.
