Monitoimitalo gym available with the Academic Sports sticker
On 30 November 2016, the board of culture and sports of Jyväskylä approved an agreement between the University of Jyväskylä and the City of Jyväskylä Sports Services. The agreement entitles all who pay a deposit of EUR 7 for an access bracelet to use the Monitoimitalo gym for free from 1 January 2017. The value of the one-year agreement is EUR 40,000 (VAT 0%).
From 2017, all who are entitled to Jyväskylä Academic Sports services can buy a group fitness and ballgame sticker, a gym sticker or a combination sticker that covers all Academic Sports services.
The stickers will be on sale in the online store at the latest on 9 December and they can be picked from JAMKO office from 12 December.
The sticker prices in the spring (valid from 2 January to 31 August 2017) are as follows:
- Group fitness and ballgame sticker EUR 40
- Gym sticker (the Kortepohja and Monitoimitalo gyms) EUR 35
- Combination sticker (includes group fitness, ballgames and gyms) EUR 60
Those who buy the combination sticker will get both the group fitness and ballgame sticker and the gym sticker to their student or staff card.
Those who buy the group fitness and ballgame sticker can select from the offering of about 60 hours of group fitness classes and 40 hours of ballgames. More info.
Those who buy the gym sticker can use the gym services in the Monitoimitalo gym daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. (excluding exceptions on holidays) and the Kortepohja gym daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
