Freshman pass guides you through the joys of student life! By completing the tasks of the Freshman pass, you will get to know JAMKO, the student union of Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, its partners and the opportunities offered by your student city. Once you have collected enough achievements, you will compete for great prizes!
The passes are handed out during orientation week’s JAMKO presentations for every starting group and after that from the office and JAMKO stands.
The tasks
The pass contains 27 tasks related to JAMKO activities, events or student life in general. You don’t have to complete all of them to take part in the draw, but that’s all the more fun! The tasks are designed to be low-threshold, with some tasks requiring more dedication than others. Some stamps you’ll get easily on your own in the first few weeks of studies, and some you won’t be able to complete until the spring semester.
Examples of assignments:
- Participate in the JAMKO Freshmen party
- Visit the JAMKO office
- Follow JAMKO on social media
- Answer the Grumble Weeks survey in spring
- Find a quiet space on the Rajakatu campus
- Eat at one of NoHo’s restaurants (NoHo-Restaurants in Jyväskylä are Bella Roma, Hook, Stefan’s Steakhouse, Pyynikin Brewhouse Restaurant.)
Here’s how to get your stamp
You will receive a stamp when you complete the tasks in your passport. At JAMKO events, you will receive a stamp from a JAMKO representative. For partners, you will receive a stamp upon payment at the event venue. For independent performance, you will receive a stamp from a JAMKO representative by proving your performance, e.g. with a photo or receipt.
