STUDENTS’ INCOME DURING SUMMER

Students entitled to Finnish social security can apply for social assistance from Kela. Before applying for basic social assistance, you must find out if there are some other benefits or sources of income available to you. The social assistance is the last option if student can’t apply for summer financial aid, student loan or is not able to work. More information: http://www.kela.fi/web/en/social-assistance
SUMMER OPENING HOURS OF JAMKO GYM
Wed 23.5.
JAMKO’s members can use JAMKO’s gym for free during opening hours. Between May 25th and June 15th gym is open only during Mon – Fri 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. May 16th JAMKO gym starts its summer break and is closed until Aug 20th. LAST CHANCE TO ORDER FINAL THESIS BOOK BINDING
Fri 1.6.
Beautifully crafted final thesis book bindings can be made easily via JAMKO. Order by 1st of June at 3 pm if you want to get it before JAMKO’s summer break. JAMKO’s office starts its summer break on June 8th at 12pm and opens again on Aug 8th at 10 am. Be sure to take care of your membership matters and collect ordered student cards and thesis book bindings before that. More: jasenpalvelu(a)jamko.fi
VALIDITY OF JAMKO’S MEMBERSHIP AT THE TURN OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR

JAMKO’s membership for academic year 2017 – 2018 and for spring 2018 is valid until the end of September 2018. Membership can be renewed from July 1st. However the new membership sticker can be collected from August 8th, when JAMKO opens its office. USING OF THE DIGITAL STUDENT CARD DURING SUMMER
Sun 1.7.
New students can join JAMKO and order a student card via JAMKO website starting from June 1st. The card can’t be collected until the office opens on Aug 8th. Frank’s digital student card will function at the beginning of August after the register is updated. Continuing students’ e-cards will function until the end of August, but the membership and the physical card will be valid until the end of September. After that membership must be renewed to maintain student benefits. The Digital card can be reactivated, after student has renewed the membership.
