What happens at JAMKO’s annual gala?

Are you going to the annual gala for the first time? Don’t worry, this information package will tell you what to expect.

This year, JAMKO’s annual gala will take participants to Villa Jääskelä on 4th of October, which provides an atmospheric setting for celebrating 25 years of student life. You can come to the party alone, with a date, or even with a whole group of friends. Everyone is welcome to attend the anniversary celebrations, from students to Jamk staff and stakeholders. The celebration is about JAMKO community!

The anniversary party is a prestigious event that celebrates the student body, the student community, and the work done to promote the interests of students. The event includes a festive dinner, which this year will be served as a buffet. This means you can fill your plate with whatever you like from the various options on the menu that suit your diet. You can choose the beverage package that is included in the ticket also as non-alcoholic.

JAMKO has been built up over many years of work and contributions from many different people. At the annual celebration, JAMKO will reward people who have meritoriously promoted the interests of students or built the student community. JAMKO will award gold and silver medals of honor to former and current members, as well as golden partnerships to partners and stakeholders.

The celebration isn’t about stiff formality. The official program is balanced with time for free discussion and singing together, and the celebration ends with a live band performance. We also organize a relaxed program and light-hearted competitions, which guests can participate in if they wish.
