Mentor recruitment is open 2 Dec–18 Jan

Hi tutor! Did you think tutoring was simply the best? Are you longing for more guidance experience? Mentoring is here exactly for that! As a mentor, you get to deepen your guidance skills, make use of your tutoring experience, and be an active support for new tutors. Mentors are responsible for, among other things, supporting tutors through guidance meetings, supporting tutors during orientation week, and/or helping degree programmes that lack tutors.

If you want to become a mentor, record a motivation video in which you talk about yourself and your free time, why you’re applying to be a mentor, and what you would like to learn during the mentoring process. The video can be casual and filmed on a phone. Send the video by Sunday, 18 Jan at 23:59 to ohjaus@jamko.fi. Ten mentors will be selected, and we hope to receive applicants from as many different study fields as possible. If necessary, we will arrange interviews.

As a mentor, you’ll gain a strong community close to JAMKO’s core, and in addition to relaxed and meaningful activities, you will earn 3–5 ECTS credits.
