JAMKO’s thesis book binding service ends

JAMKO has decided (at least temporarily) to discontinue the thesis book binding service. We have now done close co-operation with Jyväskylä University Printing Services for years, with whom we have been able to offer thesis book binding for many students. This co-operation has been precious and fluent and through them the book binding service has been relatively swift, with reasonable costs. We heard from the printing press that their operations are ceasing during April and this has made us think about the future of our book binding service as well.

We arrived at the decision of ending our thesis book binding service through serious deliberation, in which we took into consideration our own resources and the question of how to uphold an effortless co-operation without bargaining about a reasonable price. Previously we have done investigative work on optional printing houses keeping in mind cost effectiveness, location and other factors that would affect co-operation. As a result of this investigative work, we didn’t yet find as potential and fitting co-operation partner as Jyväskylä University Printing Services. This has confirmed our decision to end or at least put on hold our book binding service. 

We want to warmly thank every student who has used our thesis book binding services and Jyväskylä University Printing Services for making all of this possible. We ask understanding from you, who would have wanted to still get their thesis printed through us.
