JAMKO’s gym is closed for the time being

Due to the situation with the coronavirus, the city of Jyväskylä has recommended that all universities move to remote teaching starting from November 30th. The Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences informed on November 27th that in accordance with the recommendations, it will move to remote teaching immediately.

The student union JAMKO is following the situation closely and encourages students to act responsibly. Due to the situation, and in accordance with the city’s recommendations regarding indoor activities, we have decided to close the JAMKO gym for the time being. We aim to act as responsibly as possible, taking into account the recommendations and the current situation.

Earlier in November JAMKO and JAMK also made an appeal to the students, recommending avoiding mass events and gatherings in order to ease the situation. You can read the appeal through this link.
